Oil seal, also known as the seal, is simply the oil seal, in order not to let oil residue leakage.Generally speaking, it is meaningless to differentiate on the definition of seals.More attention is paid to the practical application of oil seal and the role played in solving the leakage of sealing device.

Main features of oil seal：

The outside of the oil seal is cylindrical to ensure the static seal of the cavity - rubber outer edge with inner metal skeleton;The outer edge of the exposed metal skeleton should be polished and coated with anticorrosive coating.

The spring-mounted seal lip guarantees the seal reliability of both dynamic and static seals on the shaft.As a result of the long-term development and research, the lip structure of the oil seal improves to better performance, thereby improving the seal reliability over a wider range of loads.

The addition of dust lip, or in special circumstances to use more than one dust lip, can prevent external pollutants and dust invasion.

When installing and removing oil seals, the following matters should be noted:

(1)  Oil seal shall be coated with oil or lubricating oil during installation.And round the shaft end and shaft shoulder;

(2) When installing oil seal, make sure that the lip end faces to the side of the sealed oil and avoid reverse assembly;

(3) When the oil seal is loaded into the seat hole, a special tool shall be used to push it in to prevent position deviation;

(4) All kinds of measures should be taken to prevent lip edge damage at the thread, keyway, spline and other places through the lip edge of oil seal, and special tools should be used for assembly.
