Classification of Rubber gaskets

2020/12/18

Rubber gaskets as sheet-shaped rubber products that serve as a seal between two stationary surfaces on a metal flange or other connection site. It can be made by molding or punched by the vulcanized film. It can be widely used in various mechanical equipment, and it can play the role of gasket, seal, and buffer.

In terms of form, commonly used rubber gasket washers include: rubber flat washers, rubber O-rings, plastic flat washers, Teflon coated washers, asbestos rubber washers, metal flat washers, metal profiled washers, metal-sheathed washers, wave washers, Winding washers, etc.

(1) Flat rubber washer: easy to deform and effortless when pressing, but with poor pressure and temperature resistance, it is only used in places with low pressure and low temperature. The natural rubber has certain acid and alkali resistance, and the use temperature should not exceed 60 ° C. Neoprene can also withstand certain acids and bases, and the use temperature is 80 ° C. Nitrile rubber is oil resistant and can be used up to 80 ° C. Fluorine rubber has good corrosion resistance and resistance. The temperature performance is also stronger than ordinary rubber, and it can be used in the medium of 150 ℃.

(2) Rubber sealing washer: The cross-sectional shape is a perfect circle, which has a certain self-tightening effect. The sealing effect is better than the flat washer and the pressing force is smaller.

In terms of materials, the main products of rubber pads are silicone pads, nitrile rubber pads, fluorine rubber pads, and other rubber pads. Rubber gaskets have oil resistance, acid and alkali resistance, cold and heat resistance, and aging resistance. They can be directly cut into various shapes of gaskets. They are widely used in medicine, electronics, chemical, antistatic, flame retardant, food, and other industries.

Silicone Rubber

It has outstanding resistance to high and low temperatures, maintains good elasticity in the temperature range of -70 ° C to + 260 ° C, is resistant to ozone and weathering, and is suitable for sealing gaskets in thermal machinery. It is non-toxic and can be used to make heat insulation, insulation products, and medical rubber products. At the same time it has waterproof, flame retardant, high-temperature resistance, electrical conductivity, wear resistance, oil resistance, and other excellent properties, widely used in machinery, electronics, plumbing, and other industries.

Nitrile rubber

NBR (Nitrile-Butadiene Rubber) is a polymer obtained by copolymerizing butadiene and acrylonitrile through the emulsion. It is known for its excellent oil resistance, and also has good abrasion resistance, aging resistance, and airtightness. Therefore, it is widely used in the rubber industry.

fluoro rubber

With high-temperature resistance, it can be used in the environment of -20 ℃ + 200 ℃, resistant to strong oxidants, oil, acid, and alkali. Usually used in high temperature, high vacuum, and high-pressure environment, also suitable for oil environment, widely used in petroleum, chemical, aviation, aerospace, and other sectors.

other

Neoprene, natural rubber, EPDM, acrylic rubber and other special rubbers. With oil, acid, alkali resistance, wear resistance, high and low-temperature resistance.
